Nutrition Testing – Winters Wellness Center

Nutrition Testing

Nutrition testing is an incredibly important yet often overlooked part of helping your body reach optimal health. We most often consider our physical body's alignment and operation. We usually consider our neural network and how our brain reacts to stimuli. So why do we rule out the types of things that we consume to give our bodies fuel to operate?

Nutrition Testing is Safe and Helpful

Testing for your body's response to specific foods and ingredients is a very important way of understanding how your system processes the fuel it is given. Diesel fuel is a perfectly acceptable type of gas for big trucks, for instance, but it can wreak havoc if you put it into a sedan that needs "regular" gasoline. In the same way, some people's bodies are conditioned to need specific types of nutrients and to have harmful reactions to other types of nutrients. Unfortunately, it isn't always obvious what those needs are, nor is it obvious when our bodies reach poorly to particular nutrients.

What to Expect in Nutrition Testing

We have been offering nutrition testing for many years. During that time, we have evaluated and curated specific tests to get the most effective results for the largest number of our patients. Below is a short video that helps you better understand what to expect in nutrition testing.

Nutrition Care After Testing

At Winters Wellness, it is our goal to equip patients with the tools they need to live healthier lives. As mentioned earlier, nutrition plays a key role in this process. Many symptoms are due, in part, to a nutritional deficiency. We provide nutritional solutions to our patients that restore proper balance and function to their bodies.

In addition to the nutrition testing that we complete for patients, we have many conversations to determine the root of a patient’s health problem. We then review blood work and apply reflex testing to determine where the body’s energy may be off balance.

Some patients have trouble receiving the appropriate nutrients that their bodies need in order to function at high levels. Therefore, in addition to changes in a patient’s diet, we may also recommend nutritional supplements. The purpose of supplements is to restore nutritional balance to the whole body. The supplements we recommend at Winters Wellness target the source of a problem, rather than a symptom.

It is important to note that we do not use the "Green Treatment" approach, a method, which replaces traditional medications with vitamins and herbs in order to treat symptoms. Green Treatment is often prescribed by individuals who have little expertise in the complexities of diagnosing health issues and who sell supplements that only treat the symptoms of a problem, rather than target the root cause of a person's problem. Green treatment is not a lasting solution, unlike the type of care that we are able to provide through unique, customized protocols.
